Not for your son! Much scarier than Up. Which, by the way, is one of my all-time favorite movies!!Missy Tippenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05480008023330542958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4945907563318808519.post-62717578837389647082012-06-26T06:45:28.030-07:002012-06-26T06:45:28.030-07:00I'm taking my seven year old to see Brave, but...I'm taking my seven year old to see Brave, but I'm crossing my fingers. The six year old across the street said they left when a bear came. My little rough guy didn't make it through How To Train Your Dragon (too loud) or Up (too scary - chasing dogs and tornado).

So, Snow White is worth seeing. Good to know. I don't trust reviews.

Hubby and I saw Men in Black 3 on date night a few weeks ago. I loved it.Pamela Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05834270662017246137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4945907563318808519.post-52485491710674289102012-06-25T20:22:39.524-07:002012-06-25T20:22:39.524-07:00Debby, I don't go as often as I'd like.

Although if we wait a few weeks, we can go to the dollar theater and see them for $2. Our date nights are usually dinner out. But we did see "For the Greater Glory" recently. Powerful true story.

The previews that night were for "Brave!" Looks exciting and fast paced. Probably too scary for little ones, but fun for moms and dads.Debby Giustihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09463321611980242375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4945907563318808519.post-53875058000231387502012-06-25T11:16:36.221-07:002012-06-25T11:16:36.221-07:00Brandi, yes, I love the fact that girls are taught...Brandi, yes, I love the fact that girls are taught to be strong. And to get the guy! :)

Like Carrie said, it's also nice when the hero and heroine work together.

In Snow White, the hero does stand by her side and saves her. But she saves him as well. And she leads the charge to save her people and defeat the evil queen. A nice balance!

The ending of the movie almost leaves it so there could be a sequel. And maybe even a battle between two possible heroes. I'm curious!Missy Tippenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05480008023330542958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4945907563318808519.post-9345548408374480272012-06-25T11:13:16.134-07:002012-06-25T11:13:16.134-07:00Eva Maria, I'm sure you love that setting! :)Eva Maria, I'm sure you love that setting! :)Missy Tippenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05480008023330542958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4945907563318808519.post-44183387585743097162012-06-25T11:13:00.621-07:002012-06-25T11:13:00.621-07:00Teresa, my daughter and another friend of mine are...Teresa, my daughter and another friend of mine are the most likely to go see movies with me. So I get to see the teenage girl movies as well as the chick flicks. It's pretty fun!

Then I also drag hubby and son along sometimes, too. I like to see both the hero and the heroine show strength and work together to save the day.Carrie Turanskyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13866179102754248664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4945907563318808519.post-2864964309753218562012-06-25T09:20:36.913-07:002012-06-25T09:20:36.913-07:00I've seen both of these movies, and I love the...I've seen both of these movies, and I love the strong, independent female roles! Our cultural norms are changing. Women are no longer responsive to stories where the female lead is sitting around helpless, waiting for a man to come rescue her. Now we want to see these characters be proactive and strong, and STILL get the guy:)Brandi Boddiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08017741568841209088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4945907563318808519.post-18176743069765499212012-06-25T08:44:43.888-07:002012-06-25T08:44:43.888-07:00I want to see Brave :)
