The gingerbread house does look like a tornado or hurricane hit it.

My kitchen table still isn't totally cleaned from the mess. So it'll be well worth the mess and sugar high. :) You're such a good grandma!

I love the photo, by the way. I have a few projects that look about the same (a particular birthday cake comes to mind). :)Missy Tippenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05480008023330542958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4945907563318808519.post-28660778368506669842011-12-12T07:56:21.071-08:002011-12-12T07:56:21.071-08:00Hey Margaret, that's a lovely cover! Nice pic ...Hey Margaret, that's a lovely cover! Nice pic of the "house", too. lol The funny thing is your granddaughters won't even remember that it didn't stay up. I'm sure they just enjoyed spending time with you and sneaking those sweet treats! The sugar high issue is the reason I haven't done a gingerbread house with my boys. They have enough energy as it is! And between all the Christmas parties and pounds of candy they receive in the mail from their grandparents, it's out of control. They often ask to help me in the kitchen, but I usually say no because I'm in a rush or don't wanna clean up their mess. I need to take a cue from you and let them help, regardless of the mess. Merry Christmas!Karen Kirsthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04191513283348440602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4945907563318808519.post-12442896660679741322011-12-12T07:52:42.860-08:002011-12-12T07:52:42.860-08:00LOL. I work at a school so I'm also shuddering at the thought of you sending your granddaughter to pre-K on a sugar high. The teacher must have had a ball that day. LOL.

Hmmmm....and do you think it's only a coincidence that your book is about a hurricane and your gingerbread house looks like it was in one?Kavhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03719229222267994577noreply@blogger.com
