One Good Thing Friday & Friends

Fridays here at CLOR are all about thankfulness. What are you thankful for today?

I'm thankful that my good friend author Roxanne Rustand is coming to visit me for the weekend.

Roxanne and I met through another friend and worked together as aspiring writers to achieve our joint goal to become published authors. Roxanne and I are not "twins" but "opposites" and that makes it possible for us complement each other. We're a great team!

This weekend we plan on going thrift store shopping, eating a lot of good food and laughing every chance we get!

Do you have a special friend whom you love to be with?

Tell us about her and what made you such dear friends?

This is the view from my porch (WHERE UNFORTUNATELY IT WILL BE TOO COLD TO SIT). You'll have to add some fall colors with your imagination.  Oh, don't tell her--I'm baking her favorite--apple pie!--Lyn

Have fun, ladies!

I'll be at the Georgia Romance Writers Moonlight and Magnolias Conference this weekend, which is always a wonderful event. GRW is my home chapter so I'll have a chance to reconnect with lots of friends. Also, new folks to meet!

Can't wait.

Lovely view, Lyn! Enjoy your visit with Roxanne.

I have wonderful friends both where I summer and where I winter. I always look forward to seeing those friends I've missed while away.

I have been blessed with some very amazing friends. Last weekend I had a blast with one in particular who chauffeured me to two separate events that I was speaking at. I can't handle highway driving and she gave up her Saturday to drive me and just hang out and help wherever she could. Like I said, amazing!

If I may, I'd also like to share something else I'm thankful for today...the many friends who have shared my news on FB and elsewhere that Deadly Devotion is Nook's Book of the day--selling for $1.99. It just hit #1. Pretty cool, eh? :)

Im thankful for friends who took me to the Mount (about an hour or so away) to have a CT Scan yesterday. I don't drive so this was a God Send.

I have some great friends too and one I finally got to meet in Georgia in May. We have been online friends for quite awhile and clicked. Infact when we meet she was late picking me up. it wasn't the Oh so glad to finally meet etc greeting it was. hang on a min let me turn this off and then away we went. We both felt like we had known each other for ever and it was like we had just seen each other the day before or something. We both reflected on the meeting and laugh at it. I wish we did live in the same area cos I think we would be visiting all the time.

Hey Lyn,
I am so thankful for my sisters, they are my best friends, we do almost every thing together. This next week my second oldest and third oldest are going to VA because sis #2 has a girl friend that is getting married, I am so excited that I am going to spend som time on the plain and also in the car.

Wow I don't think I could pick out just one friend that I love to spend time with. When I'm deadline I neglect my friendships but once I've turned something in I have a lunch date almost every day with a friend. One of my closest friends lives four hours away. I'll hopefully be visiting her this November but I do talk to her almost everyday. And I also call my two sister in laws my friends. They are such an inspiration in my life.
Its such a great thing in life to have friends.
