These are tough times. I'm sure our founding fathers thought that a lot, too. But no matter what, I still believe this country is great. It's always been great to me. Let's celebrate Freedom with prayers and thanksgiving. There is so much meanness and pettiness all around us. (Thank you, social media!) Let's be civilized in our discussions and slow to anger in our disagreements. We have so much to be thankful for and we are blessed to have so many beautiful places to see and enjoy.
So I hope you celebrate, whether it's just staying at home and grilling or visiting friends and having a firework show. Celebrate life! Celebrate love! And celebrate freedom.
And may God bless us all!
Happy Fourth of July weekend! :) I hope your weekend is lovely, too.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July to all our American friends. We can see the local fireworks from out back patio. So we'll probably watch them from there.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully said, Lenora!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th to all. This has always been one of my favorite holidays. No gift-giving pressures. Just the chance to be grateful and appreciative of our freedom.
It will be very warm here but we usually go down to the beach to watch the fireworks. It's always so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI pray for those who are suffering all over the world. Be safe, no matter what you are doing :)
Happy 4th of July Lenora! Hope you have a safe & fun day & get to watch those breath-taking fireworks :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you. You, too!!
