My name is Betsy St. Amant, and I'm a candy-corn-aholic.
Yep, that's right. I confessed. I like candy corn. I love candy corn. If candy corn was easily found year-round, I'd be the pig rolling around in it. I actually found a bag in AUGUST at Walgreens, bought it, took it to work, and well... it was gone a few days later. What can I say?
I've apparently passed the habit down to my Little Miss, who is proudly 2 years and 3 months old. She gets the habit honest, that's for sure. We snuggle in the chair together on cool autumn nights with Blankie and Gigi (her beloevd Giraffe) and share candy corn from a tupperware bowl. (the small size, don't worry.)
What Fall addictions - er, traditions - are your favorite?
But have you found the new Candy Corn Hershey's Kisses yet? I would say that is going to far but they also have pumpkin spice ones now.
ReplyDeleteI look out for the first stayman winesap apples. I make my own pumpkin butter. And I pull those fall clothes out of the closet!
It is back in the 80s again here and I want those crisp days back!
Peace, Julie
I'm just happy M&M's are experimenting. They have coconut M&M's now. Color me happy, and color me on a diet
ReplyDeleteCandy Corn Hershey Kisses???? GASP! Bye...I'm heading to Walgreens... =P
ReplyDeleteI'll come out of the closet too and admit I love candy corn, too. :)
ReplyDeleteLove to get my bag of Candy Corn and a good book to read. It can be real habit forming. They have the chocolate candy corn at Wal-Mart. That's my fav!
ReplyDeleteI love candy corn too. Just finished a bag of it myself. Yep. all by myself.
ReplyDeleteI am not a candy corn person--too much sugar for me. Give me anything chocolate.
ReplyDeleteBetsy, I love it, too! But I've never tried the chocolate kind. You know, I bet dentists hate the stuff!
ReplyDeleteJulie, how do you make pumpkin butter? Are you talking starting from a fresh pumpkin?? Oh, Julie's gone to the hospital for the birth of a grandbaby! Maybe she can fill us in later. :)
Missy, back from seeing the new granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteI make pumpkin butter using the canned stuff so I can make it all year round. It involves almost equal amounts of sugar and pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves or ginger depending on your preference. I microwave or put it on the stove and cook until the sugar is dissolved. Although I am a few days late in reading this and answering it....I could not eat chocolate as a child so I ate candy corn instead and it has remained one of my favorites ever since.
