What We Are Writing by Margaret Daley

What We Are Writing by Margaret Daley

Author: Mary Alford
Title: Patriot Acts (Not Official Title) - Follow up  book to Rocky Mountain Pursuit
Hero and Heroine: Scorpion Commander Kyle Jennings and hostage Ella Weiss
Line: He’d need to find out as much as he could about Ella Weiss -- was she real, or just an alias cooked up to fulfill a part in the Fox's  deadly game?
One paragraph from the page you are currently on:
Kyle walked out the door like a man going through the motions. He intentions were to comfort her and yet it had ended it an almost kiss. He’d let his emotions get the better of him. He had to stay focused. Her life and others were at stake.
Due Date: August 2016
Word or page count goal today: 3,000 word count today.
Something cool learned from research: I'm studying different types of weapons and what they're capable of. It's eye-opening.

Author: Keli Gwyn
Title: His Unexpected Family (working title)
Hero and Heroine: Callie Hunt and Chip Evans
Line: Love Inspired Historical
One paragraph from the page you are currently on:
“Oh, Chip, I’m so sorry. I wouldn’t have brought it up if—” She followed his gaze, shocked to discover her hand resting on his arm. She pulled it away and hid it in the folds of her skirt. Perhaps he hadn’t noticed. “F-forgive me.”
Due Date: July 25, 2016
Word or page count goal today: 2,000 words
Something cool learned from research: That sugar was a possible treatment for cholera as per an 1854 medical journal article.

Author:  Patricia Johns
Title: Smooth as Chocolate
Hero and Heroine: James Hunter and Isabel Baxter
Line: Heartwarming
One paragraph from the page you are currently on:
Isabel cocked her head to one side, regarding her young step-mother. There had been a time when Isabel had used the same tactics. Pretty girls got their way, but pretty and intelligent girls were too intimidating and put men off. She'd learned quickly how to "dumb it down" in order to make people do what she needed them to do, but seeing this same manipulation in Britney was mildly annoying.
Due Date: soon!
Word or page count goal today: I'm editing, but I'd like to get about 40 pages done.
Something cool learned from research:

I researched tiny homes for this book, and I fell in love with them. In different circumstances, I could happily live in a tiny house.
