Pamela Tracy here on the last day of 2011. It's a Saturday, early, and we're loading up the quads to go on a ride :) We'll be home in time to join the neighborhood block party.
What are you doing today, the last day of 2011, a Saturday?
Not doing much...Probably going to do some reading, watch some racing, go grab a bite for lunch, and hope to still be awake at midnight to ring in 2012.
This morning, I went and put local author stickers on my first Love Inspired romance at our local Wal-Mart. Since then, I've been doing some financial spreadsheets for 2012. (I know. I have strange passtimes. I also like doing tax returns.) Now, I'm going to write for a while and we may go to a party at church tonight if my husband isn't too tired after work. He doesn't get home until 9:30. If we don't go, we'll celebrate together here at home.
I came home from Melbourne to the start of a heatwave. had an early night as I was so tired. (its Sunday here afternoon and I am still sooooooooooooo tired)

ReplyDeleteElizabeth,
ReplyDeleteDid you manage to stay awake?
Jean,
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing quite like seeing the first LI book on the Walmart shelves. I took a picture :)
My old church had New Year's parties. Our block party was good. The kids had a blast staying up until midnight.
So, AusJenny, you left the 'big smoke' to come home to a heatwave?
