Sunday Scripture

Jesus Tempted in the Wilderness, James Tissot, 1886-1894,
Brooklyn Museum. [PD-US]

The Spirit drove Jesus out into the desert,
and he remained in the desert for forty days,
tempted by Satan.
He was among wild beasts,
and the angels ministered to him.

After John had been arrested,
Jesus came to Galilee proclaiming the gospel of God:
"This is the time of fulfillment.
The kingdom of God is at hand.
Repent, and believe in the gospel."
Mark 1:12-15

If you have prayer needs, please mention them in the comments section so we can join you in prayer. You do not need to include specific names or situations of a private nature, just say that you have a prayer request. The Lord knows your heart and the needs you have. It is a privilege and honor to pray with you and for you.

  2. My 101 year old mother passed away peacefully in her sleep this morning about 4:30.
My daughter is due with baby #4 at the end of March. She had contractions last weekend and was in the hospital for 24 hours. She is on modified bed rest. They have three active kids and her hubby is in classes until after the new one is born. Please also pray for them to find a reliable van. There is also a paperwork holdup for their tax retun forms. And for her hubby to get placed in a good job when his training is done. Thanks so much. Blessings.

    1. Paula, God bless your sweet mother. It's always hard to say goodbye, even though we know Mom is in a better place.

Prayers for you as you grieve and for your daughter and son-in-law. Covering all their needs and asking the Lord to bless them abundantly in the days ahead.
