Good morning, Terri Reed here, off to a late start. That seems to be how my life is going lately. I'm knee deep writing a new book. But I want to talk about the new Military K-9 Unit continuity series from Love Inspired Suspense featuring Military Working Dogs and their handlers. This was a challenging series to be a part of because I'd never written a military set book. There was so much fascinating information to learn and all of the authors involved worked really hard to make our stories adhere to the codes and regulations of the military, while still providing a sweeping suspense plot, satisfying romances and happily ever afters.
And of course we all fell in love with the dogs. Here are some fun facts about the first five K-9 heroes. There are eight full length novels in the series, two Christmas novellas, and a short story online prequel that came out in March. Here's the link for the full collection
Do you have dog? A pet?
I'd love to giveaway a signed copy of Mission to Protect to a commenter. And we'd love to see a photo of you pet.

Thanks for sharing about this series, Terri. I was on a hike the other day and ran into a woman with an all-black German Shepherd. I had never seen one before, and here is one featured in your series.
ReplyDeleteI had never seen one either until recently. Dogs are fascinating creatures.
DeleteThis series looks fascinating, Terri! I'm a dog lover since birth, and we just recently adopted another rescue dog. She finished her basic obedience classes last week. She'd have a long way to go to reach the level of these military K-9s. It's absolutely amazing what real-life military and law enforcement dogs can do, and how loyal they are to their handlers!
ReplyDeleteIt all starts with the basics. Another rescue? How many do you have? I have two. But people in my life keep trying to talk me in to more.
Deleteloved the first book looking forward to the next one, i have a toy poodle loved stories with animals
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear you love the book. A toy poodle would be so much fun. I have a friend who has one and it’s just a little Spitfire.
DeleteLove your cover, Terri. This was a challenging series but we sure had fun working out the details. I hope our readers will enjoy the stories and gain a new appreciation for our Military Working Dogs.
ReplyDeleteI’m a cat person and we have 2 cats. My best friend since high school has German Shepherds. She always has at least 2. She trains 1 for the local Search and Rescue. She was a founding member and has been on the search team for years. I’m proud of her. We were roommates when she got her first GS puppy. They’re my favorite dog breed.
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry, I used to have cats until I figured out I was allergic. That’s so cool about your friend and the SAR.
