What's your favorite TV show?

I'm not a big television fan. Not like my husband is. Maybe he's that way because he has control of the remote. There are some things I watch. I like CSI and HGTV for sure, but last week I got hooked on a new show. Did anyone watch Undercover Boss?

The show is about CEO's of large companies who go undercover in their own businesses to see how the other 99% of us live. Now, there must be some people who work for WM who aren't on dialysis, or in danger of losing their home, but the people this President met were wonderful people doing a good job in difficult situations. The boss had a heart. He made changes. It was a touching show.

No one got voted off. No one schemed to backstab a friend. No one got drunk or had a meltdown on national TV. It was a good show.

I'll bet it get cancelled before the end of April.

By the way, my all time favorite show was Big Valley. Who didn't want hair like Linda Evan? Who didn't think Heath Barkley was the hottest thing in chaps?

Okay, my age is showing, but you never know. I might have been watching it with a sippy cup in hand.

TV shows. Like them? Hate them? Let's hear what you think.

  1. I am a very selective viewer. I don't really care if I watch TV except on Tuesday and Thursday. That is right I can't miss NCIS, NCIS LA, Greys Anatomy, & Private Practice. I love them! I have been watching the Bachelor this season but I have to say I am not very impressed with his choices in Women. So give me a book any other day of the week and you can have my tv. lol

  2. Jessiecue,
I like NCIS, mostly because of Abby, but I'm not into NCIS LA. My husband really enjoys it.

I have to say that as a nurse, I can't get into medical dramas. I find myself yelling at the screen, "That is not RIGHT!"

I did enjoy the first season of ER, but after that, not so much.

  3. I used to love Gilmore Girls when it was on. I watched it with my daughter so that made it more special. Right now, about the only thing I manage to catch is The Good Wife on Tuesdays and KU Basketball.

  4. The Good Wife has a lot of twists and turns in it. It's like a well done soap opera. I've seen it a few times, but if you miss one episode you miss alot.
    Thanks for stopping by, Reese

  6. Great post, Pat (had to chuckle at the "sippy cup" comment, although I'm sure you were an infant when viewing those, LOL). ~ I am not a big TV viewer, but I do LOVE Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! I always feel so "proud" when I figure out the words on Wheel or get the Jeopardy question correct!
    Blessings, Patti Jo :)

  7. Sorry Pat, but I have to admit that I'm thoroughly addicted to Grey's and Private Practice! Lol! I'm sorry, they're just so darned good, even if I know in my head they're wrong. They're like my guilty pleasure, eh? Chocolate.... *grin*

We're not impressed with his choices of women on The Bachelor this season either.

I LOVE Gilmore Girls!!! I own all 7 seasons and can sufficiently say that I've seen every episode : D Great show!

Margaret, we cannot wait for the Amazing Race to start!!!

We're watching American Idol now. New season started up.

I'm a new Castle addict. Can't get enough of it to be quite honest!! LOL!

Okay, I'm not quite a TV-aholic. I promise!!! I read everyday still! I just finished the first Chatam House book (yes, I did JUST read it) and it was SOOOOO good! Can't wait for the next!
    Great post, Pat!

  8. With 2 teenaged boys, CSI, NCIS, Castle, Psych, Monk, White Collar...they're always on. One son is into scifi,& being old enough to remember BigValley (!), it's fun to watch with him & DH & I reminisce about all the different StarTreks & DrWho's. My younger son watches the Bachelor with me, & I use it for those'teaching'moments. Yes, he gets an eyeful, but we have great conversations about relationships between men, women & how God wants us to relate with each other BEFORE marriage. This year's bachelor has a lot of integrity IMHO, & makes a good role model for primetime.
