Hello. I think I've lost some of my marbles. I only blog once a month now and last month and now, today, I have completely forgotten to post my blog. And I have it clearly written on my desk calendar!!! That's why I'm shouting "May Day!!!" Here I am, posting late but at least today I realized it. Am I the only one who's noticed that as I age, I lose things? Like brain cells? And part of my memory and ... well ... things have started shifting all around me and on me!!
But I've been blessed in other areas. I'm busy blessed with work. I love writing for LI and LIS, and now I'm branching out with novellas. Love the format of the short story. I've always written short stories and never really shown them to anyone. Now with the novellas, I get to play with that format and learn more about that particular genre. But being busy blessed does not excuse missing out on what I've signed up to do!
I did have something nice happen today. I got my author's copies for my next LIS, which will be out in August. Proof of Innocence is the last book in the exciting six-author continuity called Capitol K-9 Unit. It was fun and challenging to write a book set in and around our nation's capitol and to be able to do a follow-up two in one with the adorable, talented Terri Reed. (Which will be out this Christmas.)
What's going on with you? Have you forgotten something important? Or am I the only one?
I hear you. I forgot my post on Love Inspired blog a couple of weeks ago and it was clearly written on my calendar. Yup, those brain cells go.
ReplyDeleteI've forgotten so many things lately that it's easier to list what I remembered. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou're not alone, Lenora. I forget things all the time. It's harder to keep all the dates and such straight these days. Because I've lived a lot of life, I have a good deal stored away in my "little gray cells," as Hercule Poirot would say. I blame any forgetfulness on my RAM being full.
ReplyDeleteI'm being extra careful to keep track of things this month as I celebrate the release of my debut LIH, Family of Her Dreams. I've resorted to writing lists on paper like I used to do back in the Dark Ages when wrinkles were on my pantyhose and not my face. =)
So it's not just me! We can all compare notes on our Do NOT Forget List :) Keli, so excited about your LIH!!!!
ReplyDeleteWith hectic schedules, it is so easy to overlook or forget things! I just read Margaret Daley's Security Breach and am eager to continue this series. I look forward to reading Proof of Innocence!
ReplyDeletePoor "Elnora" !! Don't despair - - it is NOT just you, LOL. :)
ReplyDeleteThere's just sooo much going on in the world around us and with all the
technology, it can boggle our minds.
Okay - that's my excuse anyway. ;)
Yep, I also have to write almost everything down now - - but I figure it's better to jot a list than forget (as long as I don't misplace my list, hehehe!).
Hugs, Patti Jo
