Oregon covered SNOW

Hi, Terri Reed here. We have a rare occurrence today in my part of the world. SNOW. And its sticking. At least it was. We haven't had snow stick to the ground where we live in two years.
What about where you live? Do you have snow?

A Shocking Revelation

Finding out she is heir to a fortune shocks Caroline Tully to her core. And to “qualify” for the inheritance, she just has to visit her newfound grandfather’s Mississippi home from Christmas to New Year’s. Adopted as a baby, Caroline knows nothing about her mother’s family...and doesn’t realize they can’t be trusted. When attempts are made on her life, there’s only one man who can protect her. Donovan Cavanaugh—a man who made her lonely heart want to love again. Posing as her fiancĂ©, Don promises to find the would-be killer. But will his protection-and his love-be enough to keep her safe?

Protection Specialists: Guarding the innocent.

  1. Book sounds electrifying!

We had a light dusting last night. Now the temps will dip below zero. BRRRRRR!!!

  2. We had rain for 2 days and now is back to (almost) Springly Weather :).

Your book sounds thrilling. I like when coples pretend being couples and when they realise they became one without much effort...

    Wishing you the best,
    Teresa

  3. Snow day today!!! But up here in Ontario even if the kids don't have to come in to school, the staff does. Had a decent commute in this morning but I expect a gnarly one on the way home. 20 cm of a mix of freezing rain and snow on top of Friday's 20 cm of snow on top of...well you get the picture. :-)

And hey -- I just ordered The Secret Heiress. Can't wait to read it!!!!

  4. I really enjoy your books, Terri. I'll have to pick this one up. Like Teresa, I like the pretend couple scenario. :) No snow here in coastal NC...mid-sixties this week but it will no doubt dip again. Enjoy yours!

  5. Hey Terri, yes we have lots of snow here too - out west of Portland! We just keep getting more too! No school for the kids in the neighborhood so I see them enjoying it! I read your latest book and am already looking forward to the next book in the series! I wonder who it will be about???? :)

  6. Carmen, that is cold! I doubt our temps will get that low. Already the snow has turned to rain here.

  7. Teresa, thank you for stopping by. Springly weather in January? Wow. Do you live somewhere it gets hot in the summer? Our summer weather is more like spring in other places. Oregon gets mostly rain and gray year round with a few weeks here and there of sunny and cool.

  8. Kav, no fair that staff still have to go to work! Be safe out there on your commute home.
Thank you for ordering The Secret Heiress.

  9. Karen, mid-60's would be nice. I think we got that in the middle of summer this year.
I too like the couples pretending to be a couple then realizing they are a couple. Probably why I wrote it into this book. LOL.

  10. Valri, It stopped snowing here, turned back to rain. The weatherman is predicting more snow tonight though. My kids school was still open so they had to go. They weren't happy with me for not letting them stay home.

The next book in this series stars Kyle Martin. You met him at the beginning of The Secret Heiress. It comes out in October 2012.

Though I have a June book coming out called The Deputy's Duty. This is book six of the Fitzgerald Bay continuity series.

  12. AusJenny, a cool 80' breeze. I'd like that for a day or two, just so I could warm up a bit. But I'm not a hot weather gal.

  13. We have snow! Usually a lot by now but this year it was slow in coming. We had our first storm a week ago and another small one today. The morning commute was awful!

  14. Terri the breeze is chilly and its around the mid 70's when the sun is out its better a tad humid. I dont like the real hot days but 80's with out a cold wind is lovely. we tend to get a day or so really hot then it cools right down to almost cold.

  15. Tracy, our snow all melted away. Stay safe.

    AusJenny, that sounds nice.

  16. I wish I could get a copy of this tantalizing book.

Terri, I have read all your LIS online reads. I always love them, especially your style of tying the heroine to a chair.

  17. Terri,
I live in Portugal and until (Global Warming) a few years ago, we had the 4 Seasons perfectly outlined.

Not anymore, now we seem to head for hotter but also less stable weather.

We don't have (too) cold Winters anymore and Summer became too too hot. We also have ElNino kind of phenomenons and we're never sure of the weather it is going to be since there's no pattern. This Winter has been rainless so I figure all the rain will show up by April and May, time where we should have a Spring. Even Trees and Flowers are confused with daffodils blooming in December.

    Take Care,
    Teresa

  18. We've had some odd weather here in Utah. Usually we have snow for January, but nothing has stuck to the ground this whole winter! I find I almost miss the snow, which is saying a whole lot for me. :)

  19. We don't get much snow in GA..had some in 2010 at Christmas....then little more in January 2011. That's ok for me!

  20. Every once in a while we have snow in North Phoenix. It's crazy because no one knows how to drive in the stuff. People from the Valley come up in pick up trucks, load it in the beds and drive it back down. Other people just stop along the road side and sled, build snowmen and make snow angles. The news stations send out trucks to cover the fun. It's very surreal.

  21. Teresa, wow, strange the way the weather is shifting.
Stacie, sounds like you too are having strange weather.
Jackie, snow in GA? I'd never thought of that.
Kim, another state I'd never associated with snow.
Today is Sat the 21st. The snow is all gone, the sun is shining but its raining off and on.
