Migraines?

Terri Reed here on an unusally balmy morning in the Pacific Northwest. I hadn't realized until I checked my email this morning that it was my turn to blog here. I blogged over at our sister site today http://ladiesofsuspense.blogspot.com/ about one of my dear friends eHarlequin online read, Snow-Kissed Reunion. http://www.eharlequin.com/articlepage.html?articleId=1538&chapter=1 stop on by and check out this sweet romance.

I'm a migraine sufferer. Not lifelong, only since 2007. I'm not really sure what prompted the headaches to start but I've been dealing with them ever since. I was looking online this morning and noticed two recent mentions of migraines in the news. I'm taking a wait and see attitude on the discovery of a mirgraine gene. What do you think?

  1. Since I woke up with a migraine this morning, your blog title jumped out at me as soon as I saw it. If finding a migraine gene means developing newer and better ways of zapping these headaches, more power to 'em! In the meantime, I have to rely on Imitrex and a two-hour nap.

  2. Myra, so sorry to hear you had one today. I awoke yesterday at 4 in the morning with my head throbbing. I get then only on one side. I see my neurologist tomorrow. I've been going to physical therapy for my migraines for the past few months. Its been helping. I will pray you have a better day tomorrow.

  3. Terri, I'm 53 years old and have had migraines as far back as I can remember. My mother and her dad had them.(How blessed I am!). I have them a lot. Doctors have tried every kind of drug daily, but nothing helps. I too, take Imitrex and have to sleep to get rid of them. They really mess up a good day. In fact, I count it a really good day, if I feel well. I'm all for anything that helps.
