What are you reading?

I'd like to hear some feedback from fellow authors and readers.

What are you reading?

Simple question, but carries a lot of weight. Think about it. What you are reading also likely means what you are buying, unless you're a library-only kind of gal ;) What are you buying helps determine the market, which then helps determine what publishers are willing to publish, which directly affects us - the authors.

Didn't realize a reader had that much power did ya? :)

There's a reason celebrities thank their fans when actors and actresses/musicians/singers, etc. accept awards - fans matter. Readers matter. You help make us what we are. You help determine the current of the publishing tide.

So, tell me. What are you reading?

  1. Intriquing post Betsy. I'm under deadline right now and don't have a lot of time, but I'm almost done one of my blogmates paranorma historicals. I've got several Love Inspireds lined up when I'm finised my contract and can breathe for a few days anyway.

  2. I just finished reading THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO. It's a real departure from my normal reading. It's gritty, but the story is compelling. I've just started reading THE HELP, and I'm also reading BREACH OF TRUST by Diann Mills. It's one of the inspirational RITA nominees. I always have several books going at the same time.

  3. I am presently reading RISKY REUNION by Lenora Worth. It is the final book in the LIS series called Protecting the witnesses and am really enjoying the whole series. I read the first one when it came out but waited on the rest of them before reading any more.

  6. I've been wanting to read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. And, I've been thinking about getting The Help, or maybe seeing if I can check out the audio at the library. I'm really starting to do lots of books on tape now that my reading time is almost non-existant.

  7. Okay, girls, I'm out of touch. I've never heard of the Dragon or the Help books. Hmm. But I just read Susan Wiggs "Fireside", a RITA nominee. If I was judging, it would get a nine. Skipped the sizzly parts and still loved it.
