We will never forget! So much anguish, pain and loss, as well as heroism and solidarity. I'll never forget how rescuers raced to Ground Zero and rushed into the building to help. 9-11 was an act of such evil yet there was so much love that day and unity. I think we all remember where we were that day.

I agree, Belle. It was a hard day. We have friends who live in NYC close to the towers. And another friend who's son went to school near there. Our friend with the son, walked from Brooklyn back into the city to get his child. He also lost family members who were first responders. It was harrowing. I remember sinking to my knees as I watched the news footage and sobbing. I live in NYC back in the late 80's so it has always held a special place in my heart. I've been back several times, each time going to the towers site. The memorial is very touching.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sad day that changed our country forever. Let's always remember the sacrifice those men and women made that day. I remember being glued to the TV. I just couldn't look away. I felt like I needed to be watching every second of the coverage.
