E-book or print? If e-book, what device do you prefer to use?
Was it a Christmas gift?
Please share! We'd love to hear more about you and your reading preferences. And we'd love to hear from some of you who are lurkers who don't usually comment. :)
While I'm popping it today to help fill in (we have scheduled authors who are moving and who are sick), I'd love to share my new cover with you!! I'm so excited! It'll be out in April...
Lovely cover, Missy!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently reading nonfiction, Candice Millard's The River of Doubt about Theodore Roosevelt's expedition on this tributary of the Amazon after losing his bid for the US Presidency in 1912. I had no idea he had attempted this voyage, and, as a lover of expedition narratives, am enjoying this story. I'm reading it in print, which is a great benefit since I often turn to the sections of photographs. The first ebook I read revealed that I look at the cover much more than I thought I did.
I just finished Shirlee McCoy's Tracking Justice! I know I'm going to like that series! I recently bought an iPad and downloaded the Kindle app. I am loving it! I read Jillian Hart's ebook Montana Hearts recently and loved that new series too!
ReplyDeleteMissy, I love your cover. I've left comments the past couple of days, and they seem to post. But when I went back later, they weren't there. We'll see what happens today.
ReplyDeleteOkay, the first one showed up, for now anyway. I like to read on my e-reader, but I'm actually reading a physical book, Life of Pi. I started the book on the airplane trip from Florida to Arizona. I've had this book for several years, but I never got around to reading it. This week hasn't been much for reading because I'm babysitting grandchildren. If you've never read The Pigeon Wants a Puppy, you're missing some great reading. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm finishing up the The Golden Leopard by Lynn Kerstan. Next up is Highland Blessings by Jennifer Hudson Taylor. Both were free Kindle offers, and I'd been wanting to read Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteLove the cover, Missy! Can't wait to read it.
ReplyDeleteI am currently reading The Choice by Robert Whitlow (on Kindle)! Very good!
Just finished earlier this week, two other great ones: Kim Sawyer's When A Heart Cries and Julie Lessman's A Light in the Window ...all on Kindle!
Hello Missy, I like the cover and name on that book Ga Sweethearts, I have just finished reading Shelly S Gray "Found" (paperback) do not do EBooks...
ReplyDeletePaula O(kyflo130@yahoo.com)
a fan in Ga
Hey Missy! (my fellow "Georgia girl" *smile*) I am so excited about your upcoming book and love that cover! ~ I'm probably one of the few people who does not have an e-reader, LOL. I like print, so that's what I read. I've just finished Carrie Turansky's SNOWFLAKE SWEETHEARTS and loved it! Now I plan to purchase Debby Giusti's latest and read it (I enjoy ALL the Love Inspired books-- historical too). In fact I got a new bookshelf for Christmas, and have had so much fun arranging some of my books on it--Have a shelf devoted to Love Inspired, but now it looks like I'm going to need TWO shelves for LI books *grin*. Hugs, Patti Jo
ReplyDeleteIm reading the Dukes Promise by Jamie Carrie its paperback and I won it to read for the ACFW book club. I have a kindle and do read alot on it.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for checking in! I sent my kids off on a ski trip yesterday, then had date night with my husband. So I never got by the blog again. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all the books that have been mentioned. Christine, that sounds so interesting!
Valri, I've read a book on my son's iPad and really enjoyed it. I love to swipe the pages. Like it better than clicking on my Kindle.
Merrillee, looks like your comments stayed. :) Enjoy your grandkids!
ReplyDeleteJean, you're going to love Jenn's books! She's a fantastic writer.
Jackie, next time you win one of my books, I'll have to send it to you for your Kindle! :)
Paula, thanks! I really love the cover, too. It's exactly like a scene in the story that I described. They really got it right!
ReplyDeletePatti Jo, I'm the same way with bookshelves! The last one I bought was full as soon as I put it together! :)
ReplyDeleteJenny, I'm the same way. I do both print and e-book. I actually prefer to hold a book in my hand. But I love being able to buy a book with one click and having it immediately. That's bad for the budget, though! LOL
ReplyDeleteReally a nice cover, Missy.
ReplyDeleteI'm in between books but about to dig into my box of RITA books for judging. I still prefer "real" books. :-)
