Mother's Day

Hi, this is Margaret Daley here. I spent a nice yesterday with my family celebrating Mother's Day. It was a quiet day talking and enjoying good food. But in the midst of it, I missed my own mother who died years ago. I took the time to reflect on my mother who was a compassionate Christian woman. Most of her life she was a nurse and loved to help others.

The above is a picture of my son and his two daughters in my backyard. What kind of Mother's Day did you have? I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. Tell me about your Mother's Day.

  1. I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Spent it with my mother. I have decided that as long as she is alive, we will try to spend the day with her. We brought lunch for her so she wouldn't have to do anything. It's a blessing to still have a mother and I want to appreciate and enjoy it.

  3. I spent Saturday with all 3 of my kids at my oldest son's house. He grilled out for me. Then yesterday my husband and two of the kids took me out for lunch. Then my middle son made me dinner! It was a great weekend!

  4. We spent the day with our granddaughters. Their parents had a little mini-vacation, so we were babysitting. A two and five year old will keep you on your toes, or make you regret that you weren't on your toes. The two-year old left a little artwork on one of the bedroom carpets.

  5. I had a delightful Mother's Day and loved having all 3 kiddos (plus 2 sons-in-law) at my house! A very fun time together (and of course the house was so quiet after they all left).
My precious Mama has been gone for 9 years, and I still miss her terribly. But I have so many wonderful memories, and I still talk with her in my heart.
    Blessings, Patti Jo

  6. I spent much of the day on the couch recovering from a crummy cold and revising my WIP. The highpoint was Skyping with our daughter, who has been living and working in France. She'll be home in a couple of weeks and said we'll celebrate then. Can't wait!

  9. I was able to visit my mom for the weekend. The weather was lovely and we were able to tour a nearby garden nursery, one of her favorite things to do. Naturally we walked out with plants in hand. After the long cold winter, the beauty and fragrance of so many flowers lifted the spirits.

Margaret, your granddaughters are so cute!
