Finding Balance in the New Year

Good morning, Terri Reed here. I'm a bit late today, my apologies.
Happy New Year everyone. I pray it has started out well for you.
So far 2019 has been busy for me.  I'm hoping it will slow down so I can find balance in all the things that come my way the rest of the year. Ha!
Balance is my word for 2019.
I also pick a Bible verse to keep me grounded.
I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Phil 4:13

What about you? Do you choose a word or a Bible verse to guide you through the year?

Found at the southern end of Ireland. I added the top stone.

I'm working on a new book, the second in a my own new series set in a fictional Colorado town where the Sheriff's deputies work together to keep their town safe while falling in love. Here's the cover for the first book. Isn't it beautiful!

The official release date is March 1st for the ebook version and March 5th for the print version. You can preorder yourself a copy today at this link

Nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide.

Can they get off the mountain alive?

Desperate to find her missing teenage brother, Maya Gallo ventures into the Colorado Rockies expecting rough terrain—not deadly treasure hunters. But when she’s caught in their crosshairs, ruggedly handsome mounted patrolman Alex Trevino comes to her aid. The deputy sheriff knows what these bandits are capable of, so getting Maya—and her brother—home safely may be his hardest mission yet

  1. Terri, love your cover and the blurb. The story sounds like a great read!

Also love your photo from Ireland. We enjoyed our visit there as well!

My word is "Treasure" as in finding my treasure each day...my children, my husband, my friends and extended family...

I'm on deadline for the first book in my new LIS series and Phil 4:13 has been circling through my brain nonstop! Christ is my strength!

  2. I love the new cover! The new series sounds intriguing.

I've never been able to settle on one word or one verse for a year. I keep picking new ones as the seasons or my mood changes.

    1. There's nothing wrong with changing with the season as far as I can see. Sometimes we need to stop and re-evaluate.

  3. I need to find a word. I thought about Grateful, but for some reason Struggling seems more fitting LOL

As always, your book sound wonderful.

  4. My word for the year is Trust, though I may try Jenna Night's idea and do a word each month.

  5. Trust is always a good and challenging word.
A word a month would be interesting. I'll ponder that. It might be nice to do in addition to the yearly word. Hmmm.

  6. This year I picked faith but hadn't put as much thought into choosing my word as I have some years. It came to me so quick, I wondered if I made the decision too quickly. Then our pastor mentioned faith a couple of times in Sunday's sermon, and I realized it's the right word for me in 2019.

  7. Restored. It has been a rough 6 years for me, but in the last couple days, my heart is joyous knowing that I've come out the other side.

  8. Yay for you, Leann. Going through the rough times scraps off some skin but when the wounds heal it's all fresh and new. I like the word restored.
