Hello friends, Karen Kirst here to talk tea.This picture is of my favorite scones from a lovely little waterfront tearoom near my home in North Carolina. If you’ve ever been to a tearoom, you know they serve tiny sandwiches and soup in espresso cups and bite-size desserts. Oh, and a variety of tea flavors to suit anyone’s taste! I find the whole experience relaxing in a way my husband will never understand.
Growing up in Tennessee, ice tea ruled. It wasn’t until I spent three months with my husband’s family in Europe that I discovered a love of hot tea. Now I drink it every day, no matter the season. And you’ll find that my characters enjoy it, too.
Have you noticed a culinary theme running through some of your favorite authors’ books? I’m a fan of Jillian Hart’s books, and I noticed a number of her characters like hot chocolate with piles of whipped cream. While you’re thinking about your answers, I’m going to enjoy a cup of white chocolate mousse tea….wish I had a scone to go with it.
