FEATURED BOOK: SECOND CHANCE FAMILY BY MARGARET DALEY

Dedicated teacher Whitney Maxwell gave up her dream of a family years ago. But she's about to get a lesson in faith and family from an unexpected source—a brave little boy named Jason. Jason and his dad are dealing with his autism the best they can, but Dr. Shane McCoy can't put his tragic past behind him. As Whitney and Shane work together to help his son, could these two lost souls open their hearts to love again and become a lasting family?

  1. I'm really glad to see authors writing about autism and other problems like that because I have a friend with an autistic grandchild and people still shy away from him like he was contagious. Maybe through books people will be enlightened.

  2. Ellen,
I think you're correct. Books can open people's eyes not only to stories but to real life.

  3. I agree with you too, Ellen.
I absolutely cannot wait to read this! Right now y time is being tied up by a book called The Red Tent. It's good, but time consuming. However, this is sitting on my shelf waiting to be read!

  4. I agree with EllenToo, that through writing of novels about difficult issues, people will be more open to understand and be empathic.
