I'm really glad to see authors writing about autism and other problems like that because I have a friend with an autistic grandchild and people still shy away from him like he was contagious. Maybe through books people will be enlightened.
ReplyDeleteEllen,
ReplyDeleteI think you're correct. Books can open people's eyes not only to stories but to real life.
This book was so wonderful
ReplyDeleteI agree with you too, Ellen.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely cannot wait to read this! Right now y time is being tied up by a book called The Red Tent. It's good, but time consuming. However, this is sitting on my shelf waiting to be read!
Hannah
I agree with EllenToo, that through writing of novels about difficult issues, people will be more open to understand and be empathic.
