Sugarplum Homecoming and Thankfulness

Thanksgiving week is upon us, and I do so love Thanksgiving. The kids are coming in and we'll have a big celebration, watch some football, draw names for Christmas, and eat WAY too much.
And this year I have so much to be Thankful for. My blessings are many. Sure, I have trials and problems and heartaches. Who doesn't? But I am blessed, too.
A few weeks ago, one of the early Love Inspired novels was paired with one of Debbie Macomber's books and guess what? It's now sitting at #14 on the NY Times bestseller list and is also on USA Today and Publisher's Weekly lists. Now, if that's not a writer's blessing, I don't know what is.
And then, I'm thankful for my new book, which is out this very week, Sugarplum Homecoming. It's all the warmhearted traditions of Christmas, plus children wishing for a mommy and a recovering alcoholic who thinks she's anything but mommy material. I hope you like it!
What's happening in your neck of the woods?

  1. I've started the week of Thanksgiving with my first cold in forever. But I have a warm home, a bed to sleep in and a hubby who is taking good care of me!

Prayers for all those struggling with life's issues and obstacles this Thanksgiving.

    Peace, Julie

  2. We are off tomorrow to go out of state to see our college daughter who is a senior this year and will spend her last Thanksgiving as a college student! We decided to go to HER this year instead of her coming to us! We can't wait to see her!!!!

  3. Do exciting, Linda!! Congrats on the book with Debbie!

I'm thankful for upcoming time with family, some we only see about once a year.

  4. Love the look of the book.

This year I have to remember May It was my highlight and I am so thankful that my new condition Occipital Neuralgia hit after the trip. I am thankful it hit now and now years ago as talking with a friend who is a dr I probably hurt the neck over 15 years ago and was predestined for something to happen. So I am thankful I didn't get it before now.

I am thankful on your thanksgiving I get to see my physio.

    Have a great thanksgiving
