I saw this book when I saw Tides of Hope by Irene Hannon. I, also, had to buy this book as soon as I read the back cover! My friend is waiting in line to borrow it already!

No, the books don't have to be read in order. They are meant to be stand alone books with continuing characters and a few light threads from book to book. There are three series of siblings, so it's probably easiest to read the books from the same series together, since it would be easier to keep the characters straight. Does that make sense?
