the real Valerie Hansen

The cover you see to the right is from my new, June release, THE DOCTOR'S NEWFOUND FAMILY. I love this artwork, don't you?

The historical Love Inspired is set in 1856 San Francisco.

It will be my last book in 2010 but I already have some scheduled for 2011 so I've been busy, as usual.

Now for a serious warning.

I usually use this forum to discuss my work. In this case, however, I need to warn all my friends and loyal readers that there is someone on Facebook who is pretending to be me. This imposter even took a picture from my website to try to fool everyone. THIS IS NOT ME. I DO NOT USE FACEBOOK. I'm presently working to have the imposter removed but the process is apparently very slow. I just wanted everyone to know what was happening so they wouldn't be fooled.

Other than that, everything in my life is fine so I can't really complain. I wrote this in the morning but won't post it till nearly midnight on Thursday so I don't forget my special Friday again! Yes, I have a lot on my mind and sometimes do goof. Anyone who knows me will not be surprised!

Blessings,

Valerie Hansen/ Val Whisenand

  2. Sorry you are having problems with FB...that is one reason I hesitated to sign up for it and I may drop it because they can't seem to control several things.
I do love your cover even though I am not a reader of historicals.

  3. I'm so sorry about your FB imposter. This morning, another author deleted her Twitter account because it had been hacked and was being used to promote objectionable things. It's sad their are unscrupulous people out there.

    Beautiful cover, by the way!

  4. Thanks, everyone. I just checked and the imposter has disappeared from Facebook. I'll keep an eye on it, though.

And to reply to Ellen's comment, you may be surprised at the way I've handled the historical elements in my books. One of the reasons I especially like doing that kind of story is because the particular era fascinates me and because I get to throw in all the excitement I want! If you see the book in stores in June, just open it and peek. You may be pleasantly surprised.

    Blessings,
    Val
