Hallmark Movie!

Last month I was given permission to announce that my 2016 book A Family Under the Christmas Tree, published by Howard Books, was being made into a Hallmark movie. I'm so excited!

I was able to spend a day on the set! It was a fascinating and exciting experience.  I will post pictures when it gets closer to the release day, which I don't have yet, but when I do I will share!

There was a write up in Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming Christmas movies that Hallmark is making this year and they mentioned A Family Under the Christmas Tree, starring Merritt Patterson and John Cor.

This has been a dream for a long time and is super special because I wrote this book right after my mother passed away from an inoperable brain tumor that caused her to have dementia and eventually she was bed-ridden. On the day she passed, my brother called me and held the phone to her ear so I could talk to her.  My brother said she was smiling as she took her last breath while I was still on the phone telling her I loved her.
I think God knew I would need a sweet story to help me through my grief and I dedicated this book to my mother, Dorothy Louise.
As Mother's Day approaches I am missing her so much and wish I could share this joy with her.

Christmas is Coming!

Hello, Terri Reed here. How is your summer going? Mine has been super busy. We brought home a new puppy this spring so we’ve been doing lots of training, I finished and turned in one book, I went to Nashville for four days with my son, I attended RWA’s national conference in San Diego where I sat on a panel talking about 'sweet' romances--my portion was on writing the 'sweet' romantic suspesene-- as well as played 'Vanna White' for the RWA RITA and Golden Heart ceremony and I am now writing another book due mid August.  

The weather has been unpredictable here in Oregon. Hot one day, cool the next. Cool in the morning, hot in the afternoon. Hot in the morning, cool in the afternoon. I am longing for the consistent coolness of fall. Speaking of fall I have two new books coming up.  Both are Christmas themed.

Did you know you can pre-order books?  I’d never done that until recently. I pre-ordered a friends book and when it showed up on my doorstep on release day it was a pleasant surprise.

Both of my fall books are available for pre-order.  J

My favorite part of Christmas is decorating the house and tree. I love the memories that come with the ornaments. I enjoy the uplifting pleasure of seeing the decorations and remembering the reason for the season. Jesus! 

I have several nativity scenes I put up as well as the cute snowman and angels. I don't do much in the way of Santa stuff.
