Capitol K-9 Unit: These lawmen solve the toughest cases with the help of their brave canine partners.
INTERVIEW:
Today we're welcoming Selena Barrow, the heroine of SECURITY BREACH, written by Margaret Daley, a June 2015 release by Love Inspired Suspense.

Wow, you've just had quite an adventure.
1.  Tell us a little about yourself and how you came to be in the midst of such suspense.
I’m the White House Tour Director. I’m in charge of the White House Easter Egg Roll that is done every year for the children around the country.
I’m in trouble because I was sure my cousin, Erin, was innocence of the murder of the congressman’s son and I was determined to prove it. That upset someone.
2.  So, during the book you met Nicholas Cole.  Tell us a bit about him.  What was your first impression?  When did you know it was love?
I’d worked with Nicholas at the White House. He was part of an elite group called, the Capitol K-9 Unit. I always thought he was very capable at its job. I learned how capable as he protected me from the person who was trying to kill me. I fell in love when I realized he would be there for me, that he wouldn’t abandon me.
3.  What strengths/skills do you have?  What is your greatest weakness?
I’m organized and a hard worker. My greatest weakness is that I have a hard time trusting.
4.  What scares you?
Being abandoned by someone I really care about.
5. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I wish I could trust more. I’ve been let down one too many times.
6.  Where are you in your faith at the start of your story?
Shaky, scared to put my trust in the Lord.
7.  Where are you in your faith at the end of the story?
I discovered God was always there for me and He would never abandon me.
8. You've got a scripture at the beginning of the story.  Tell us why this scripture is significant.
By whom also we have access by faith into his grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:2
Both Nicholas and Selena needed to learn to trust in the God. To rejoice in Him and bask in His glory.
9. If you could be a dessert what would you be and why?
French silk pie—rich and delicious.

May Day--Lenora Worth

Hello. I think I've lost some of my marbles. I only blog once a month now and last month and now, today, I have completely forgotten to post my blog. And I have it clearly written on my desk calendar!!! That's why I'm shouting "May Day!!!" Here I am, posting late but at least today I realized it. Am I the only one who's noticed that as I age, I lose things? Like brain cells? And part of my memory and ... well ... things have started shifting all around me and on me!!

But I've been blessed in other areas. I'm busy blessed with work. I love writing for LI and LIS, and now I'm branching out with novellas. Love the format of the short story. I've always written short stories and never really shown them to anyone. Now with the novellas, I get to play with that format and learn more about that particular genre. But being busy blessed does not excuse missing out on what I've signed up to do!

I did have something nice happen today. I got my author's copies for my next LIS, which will be out in August. Proof of Innocence is the last book in the exciting six-author continuity called Capitol K-9 Unit. It was fun and challenging to write a book set in and around our nation's capitol and to be able to do a follow-up two in one with the adorable, talented Terri Reed. (Which will be out this Christmas.)

What's going on with you? Have you forgotten something important? Or am I the only one?

Cover Reveal and a Giveaway

Terri Reed here. Yesterday I received my official copy of the cover for my upcoming April release.
Duty Bound Guardian is book 2 in the Capitol K-9 Unit continuity series.  The series is set in Washington DC and revolves around an elite K-9 unit.

I am so pleased with this cover. The hero is very handsome and the canine is exactly how I pictured him. One of my tasks as an author is to find photographs that are similar to how I envision my characters, including my canine character, as well as settings.
Here are some of the ones I sent in to the art department.
I'll send the first person to guess who these two actors are one of my backlist books!
This is how I picture Adam Donovan, the Capitol K-9 Officer. Do you recognize this actor?  He's in two of my favorite shows.

This is how I imagine Lana Gomez, my heroine. Do you recoginze her? She was a child star.

And here's Ace, the true hero of the story.  The art department was spot on with the dog they put on the cover.

I also just turned in a short story for the Harlequin website that is set in the world of the Capitol K-9 Unit, titled Dangerous Justice.  It is a free read that will release in March and run for eight weeks, each week a new chapter will go up. So check over at  http://www.harlequin.com about mid-March to read this free read.

Here's the titles and authors for the Capitol K-9 Unit continuity novels.

Protective Instincts, March 2015, Shirlee McCoy
Duty Bound Guardian, April 2015, Terri Reed
Trail of Evidence,May 2015, Lynette Eason
Security Breach, June 2015, Margaret Daley
Detecting Danger, July 2015, Valerie Hansen
Proof of Innocence, August 2015, Lenora Worth
