What are you reading?

Debbie Clopton's computer crashed this morning (poor thing!) as she was trying to post to the blog. So I thought I would just toss a question out to you. I hope you'll share!

What are you reading right now? What's next in your TBR (to-be-read) stack?

  1. I just finished reading Writing Fiction for Dummies by Randy Ingermanson and Peter Economy. Excellent resource book, especially for writers starting out. It maps out how to put a book together from beginning to end with examples and exercises.

I also finished Love Finds You in Holiday, FL by Sandra Bricker. I really enjoyed the story (it had two flamingoes on the cover which pulled me in).

  2. Margaret, you can use the book cover to decorate your office! :)

I'm reading Myra Johnson's One Imperfect Christmas (finally!). I started it before Christmas but had no time to read until I got my proposal in. So once I mailed that, I picked the book up and began it all over again. Very touching so far.

  3. Glad you asked this question, Missy. I'd thought about doing a post on what I was reading so here goes: I'm also reading "Writing Fiction for Dummies". Great, great 'how-to' book. And I have "Love Finds You in Holiday, FL" on my nightstand, right behind Mary Kay Andrews "Deep Dish." Love me some Mary Kay Andrews! I recently read Irene Brand's "Love Finds You in Valentine,Nebraska." Irene is a dear friend. I highly recommend her book. And more on my list: the second of Kaye Dacus's wedding series "Menu for Romance", Sharon Gillenwater's "Jenna's Cowboy". I could go on and on. So many books, so little time!

  8. We just finished up Jane Eyre for English a little bit ago(reread for me, but still really great!). We will be starting Crime and Punishment next : /

Personally, I'm reading Harvesting the Heart by Jodi Picoult. I LOVE Jodi's books. I've met her many times, since she lives a few minutes away from me : ) Other than HtH I only have 1 book out of 16 that I haven't read of hers. They're fantastic.

Next, I'm trying to decide between a LI book(always a great choice!), The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, or the 2nd Coffeehouse Mystery book by Cleo Coyle. I loved the 1st one and can't wait to read more! Would definitely recommend this lovely little romance/mystery series to anyone!

  14. Really!? That's funny : ) I would recommend it, as I said before. It's not like a tremendous read or anything, but it's a fun, easy read! At least the one book I've read. I own the next 4 in the series and CANNOT wait to get to them!
Lemme know if you read 'em!
