FEATURED BOOK AND INTERVIEW: A Ranger for the Holidays by Allie Pleiter

A Christmas to Remember
In Little Horn, Texas, Amelia Klondike is known as the Queen of Christmas. Her generosity and sheer joy during the holidays is contagious—to everyone except Finn Brannigan. The attractive, wounded stranger doesn't know who he is or where he came from—and he isn't feeling merry at all. It isn't long before Amelia, her grandfather and their adorable dog begin to warm Finn's heart. But when Finn's memory starts to return, his past as a Texas Ranger—the one thing that might cause Amelia to withdraw from him—is revealed. And he worries that he may lose his chance for one perfect Western Christmas with the woman he can't bear to forget…

Interview:
How exciting to have Amelia Klondike the heroine from A Ranger for the Holidays written by Allie Pleiter a December 2015 release from Love Inspired Romance.

1.       Amelia, tell me the most interesting thing about you.
These days, I suppose it has to be my great big love of Christmas.  I’m in charge of most of the holiday happenings throughout the year here in Little Horn, but Christmas is my absolute favorite.  You’d think I’d be ready to stop adding so many decorations to my house, but I’m not nearly ready to stop.  Christmas is too beautiful a time of year to show any restraint!
2.  What do you do for fun?
Nothing makes me happier than helping other people.  I think that’s the most fun you can have.  The glow on people’s faces when you show them kindness—it’s the most joyful thing there is.  Except for Finn, the man I’m helping right now.  There’s not one bit of glow on his face, and I aim to change that—if I can only figure out how.
3.  What do you put off doing because you dread it?
Having to watch my figure.  I’ve got a sweet tooth a mile wide.  God’s been kind enough to give me a body that can handle it, but I expect it won’t stay that way for long.  I dread the day I have to watch my calories, that’s for sure.
4.  What are you afraid of most in life?
Truthfully, I fear ending up alone.  Since my engagement broke up in front of everybody a while back, I feel like I’m becoming Little Horn’s sweet little spinster.  I’m trying to trust that God has another man out there for me, but it’s hard.
5.  What is the most important thing to you?
Right now it’s taking care of Gramps.  He’s meant the world to me since my parents died, and I want to make the most of every bit of time I have left with him.
6.  Do you read books? If so, what is your favorite type of book?
I love anything with a happy ending!
7.  If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I love to help people—and I’m rather good at it, if I say so myself—but I often don’t know when to stop.  I meddle too much, and there are times I can't help stepping in even when I shouldn’t.
8.  Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?
Boy do I!  My precious dog Bug is just the cutest little guy you’ll ever meet.  I know he’s a bit on the chubby side, but that’s because my little pug enjoys life as much as I do.  Even Finn likes Bug, although he’d never let on that he does.
9. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?

I’d go back to when my Mama and Daddy were first married and so happy.  They talked about the time with such fond memories.  I’d love to see them back then.
