Hot Springs
This year in July my husband and I went to Hot Springs and stayed at a bed and breakfast that was an old Victorian house--about 120 years old. We had a great time enjoying the town and the surroundings lake and mountains. We visited a botanical garden and a tower that overlooked Hot Springs as well as took a National Park tour of the restored bath house (picture below). The place was beautiful. One of the highlights of our trip was having dinner on the Belle and cruising around Lake Hamilton (picture above).
Where have you gone this summer? Want to share any good places to visit?

Hi Margaret,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post. The pictures are beautiful! It made me want to be there with you.
I wish I could say we have been somewhere this year but haven't had time to take a trip anywhere. Places that we have enjoyed in the past are Branson (off season), Eureka Springs and Grand Lake.

Sherry, you must live near me (Oklahoma). I agree with all those places. I've enjoyed them in the past.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been anywhere this summer but then I really like to wait until the end of August or the beginning of September when most kids are in school and I can travel to places and not have to fight crowds as much. I am planning (if it works out) to head about as far north and I can get and still be in the US (no passport so I can't go further north) and am heading for Pennsylvania and New York. Places I have really enjoyed in the past are Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. And the Smokey Mtn NP.
ReplyDeleteEllen, I haven't been to Yellowstone yet but would love to. I love the Smokey Mountains.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful trip!
ReplyDeleteWe went to Orange Beach, AL, in July and had a great getaway.
Your trip sounds wonderful! I have traveled to too many places to list both in the country and out. This year we went to New York for one vacation. Then to Wales, Isle of Fersey, France, and England. It was excellent! I'm ver fortunate to be able to travel...
